I have a 1970 Challenger with 11" drum brakes. I added a power booster, pivot linkage and master cyl off of a 1970 Cuda. The issue is that the brake pedal does not grab until it is an inch off the floor. I have adjusted all the drums until there is a slight drag. I have bled the master cyl and the wheels several times starting with the right rear, left rear, etc. Do I need to adjust the booster rod to the master cyl? I thought that if the whole assembly came off of a working car that that would not be necessary. I looked in the service manual and did not see a procedure to do this. Any ideas? Gerry.

You wouldn't think anything w change especially if you didn't seperate the mc and the booster. I'd split the mc/booster and see what you have now for clearance and want no more than 1/8" actual from the rounded nub to the bottom of the M/C piston recess

adjust the accorn nut between M/C and booster. I had the same problem. I adjust mine too far out then my brakes would not release so adjust it a little at a time. Listen to RapidRobert he's the one that helped when I had the same problem he know's what he's talking about.

I would tighten up all four drums until there is a "medium" drag and see if that makes a difference.
