The 78030's are the ones I had trouble with.440 4 speed in a 63 Plym Savoy. You can run the mini starter if you don't mind beating the crap out of
the tube shown in the pics. It will still be very close to the headers. Large reg starter will work
with the 78030's The mini sticks out father from the block.

That's odd because I put a pair of 78030's in my '63 Dodge with a factory (truck) mini started and it clears fine! Did you have later K and engine mounts?!?

some considerations to this... B or RB blocks ?

remember the diff stroke height makes higher and wider location againts block or backwards, so then the starter

I have not seen yet diff headers for B or RB block to save this POSIBILITY

B/RB use the same TC and bell on the tranz

the wider part of a B/RB should be the heads not the tranz bell or starter location

they use the same tranz and starter and TC

well thats what I got from a 383 and a 440 in an A-body..wider at the VC not the block and tranz

guess it depaends on who is bending pipes and who has been out at lunch and bending pipes at the header factory

I have had the same part # and 2 diff header pipe shapes bends...one size to fit all kinda thing they did list them to fit 2x and 4x truck though they did not fit the 2x truck on the drive side

That's odd because I put a pair of 78030's in my '63 Dodge with a factory (truck) mini started and it clears fine! Did you have later K and engine mounts?!?

K frame was from 64 fury, mtr mounts correct big block mounts.

I don't see how the K frame or mounts would have anything to do with how far the Denso starter sticks out.
