lets say... for example if a 280/484 Camshaft was built, I think they built a DC product "serie" to match with it... what were they ?

TC ?
Pistons ?

whatever else...

just wondering.

I have a DC manual, but it says mostly aboute each product specs but not the best matching betweem DC products itself

DC had package recommendations listed in the Mopar bible as well as in the back of the catalogs.

The old Direct Connection (Mopar performance) catalogs listed their package recipies for 14 sec, 13 sec, 12 sec, etc cars and this information is also in the Carroll Shelby speed secrets book.
I just looked at Amazon, and they want $90 for the speed secrets book
These books were printed in the early 1980's, and are a good reference, but really the information is a bit outdated.
I am not sure if the new (2000 publication?) mopar Performance "Engines" book still lists the package information?
Dang, just looked on Amazon, and those books are unavaliable too?

You can buy the Mopar Performance books for next to nothing at Mancini Racing. I bought a whole stack of books the other day and it only cost a few bucks.

But,the newer one's don't have near the amount of technical information as the old DC manual. The new one is more geared to selling parts than what you can do yourself.

62maxwgn thats the same DC book I got recently. yeah is a BUNCH of great info, but honestly is a little bit hard to get the info from. Have to jump here, there, all around the pages. Recently got some more info from it at MOPAR BRACKET RACE SCIENCE ( bulletin 40 ), but actually is already outdated with newer MP parts on market. You can find info about TURBO ACTION TCs, Hemi gring camshaft and stuff like that is not anymore around

Needs an update.

You search on several brands and they have a recomended matching line betwen their products. MP catalogs only has some "light suggestions" about specs, and not really their line match up recomendations. Beside that some specs are not completelly true ( like duration .050 cam spec ) what makes the specs recomended by DC/MP could it be unmatched with what you get from several performance brands products around. I am already set on the build I will go, but had to search a lot on info around, questions and answers coming and going. Lot of answers are not more that subjetive opinions what finds lot of counteropinions due lot of miss info about.

Maybe the newer books ( posted from mancini ) are more toward to match DIRECTLY parts between them ?... I can't buy them right now.

I'm still wondering if the "mopar bible" mentioned is one of the newer books ?

yes, I found the info what I found on same section, but on mine is page 1352 ( page 37 of the bulletin 40 ). Bulletin 40 mopar bracket science, begings on 1317 page on my Direct Conection bible.

is still some uncomplete I think, when talking about matching parts. For example they don't talk enough about TCs in ALL the setups.

Unlles they afirm the stock TC is good on some of them ?

If is that, I think there are lot of BS being talk on all the boards about them.

anyway, that info is still some uncomplete when talking about specs. Just experts can make the "paralelism" with newer parts on market
