Are all HEMI spark plug tubes the same size.

I am going from Stage V valve covers to stamped steel do to interferance and I want to re-use the tubes if I can. They look like they would fit.

I took mine from the Mopar Performance covers to stock stamped and they fit perfectly. So my guess is yes they are the same size.

There are different tubes out there. I'm not sure what the different applications are. I use the bottom style tube.

Going from a cast valve cover to a stamped valve cover should be no problem. Your stockers will work fine.

When you get to the bigger heads (Stage-V Millenium, INDY 1RA-6, BAE, etc.) you'd need longer tubes. The tubes are all the same OD but there are many different lengths to the top o-ring shelf and then different extensions from there depending on the wire type (top seal) you want to use.

Indy sells longer tubes for their larger heads and so does BAE, but when I need something custom I contact William Bahl (btdt44@epix.net). He machines billet tubes with screw in steel ends, to your exact needs/specifications and doesn't cost any more either.

There's a guy on ebay that sells tube claiming they are true to the original because they have an extra rolled ring just under the o-ring. Those puppies fit so tight, I mangled one with pliers trying to get it out. I got so PO'd I jumped up and down on it and caught one with my heal. I limped for days.

So far the MP ones fit the best with tin covers. I find the O rings are too thick. I went with 1/8" thick O rings and they fit much better and they dont leak and it insures the tube goes all the way down to the head.
