Ok, installed Eddy 84cc heads on a '68 440 with a .557 Mp solid cam.
Running stock ductile rocker arms.

Originally had a Crane solid cam with 8.9" pushrods.

Currently have 9.180" 3/8" pushrods and still need to screw the adjuster screw in to the point where only 1 or 2 threads shows above the jam nut.

If these rods are too short, Where do I baseline the adjuster screw so I can properly measure with and adjustable pushrod?

Thanks for all help in advance!

The Hughes engines procedure is w 1-2 threads showing as you know on the bottom side, to turn it to a certain percentage of gross cam lift (different % if SB or BB, check their site if interested) and at that point eyeballing it from the front of the eng the pushrod and the adjuster screw should be in a strait line then w that set w an adjustable pushrod the wipe pattern is checked w the wipe pattern being more important and may have to compromise and or use shims to, #1 get the wipe pattern acceptable.

The wipe patern should be in the middle of the stem. I wipe the stem head and rocker contact surface dry and then put a dab of grease on the stem. Rotate the engine until the valve opens and closes. The mark on the stem should be in the middle of the stem.
