I think my 65 was originally a auto, there is a 4 speed in it now, we rebuilt a 383 and using Dougs correct headers, the pitman arm is hitting the headers,it was that way before i rebuilt it but with a cheap set of headers ,thought maybe Dougs would fix this trying to figure out what to do so close to getting it on the road ,and it is a brand new front too as in ball joints ect from Just suspension
Hopefully someone here has been there before and dont want to dent those headers
thanks

Sorry but if it's hitting the pitma, I think is your only way out. Unless you can play with your motor mounts and tweak the angle of the motor a bit.

Can you weld? Move the tube or go ahead and smash it for clearance. Then get a piece of tubing "elbow" and weld it to the opposite side but first split the elbow lengthwise in half and fit it over the header tube. Scribe around it and cut out the header tube..
darn it..just look at the picture..
