Took my Gaot up to Da Grove today to do a little friendly match racing with Ryan and his Challenger. I got there before he did and made a couple check out passes and knew I was already in trouble. He went 14:30's last weekend and the best I could manage was a 14:52@96. He got there and we got paired up for our first pass. I did manage to get a little jump on him, but that went downhill shortly after the 60' clock. He went a 14:08@104 and mine fell off to a 14:65@95. We got one more pass before I had to head home. He even took a passenger this time and still picked up a couple more tenths. I tried manually shifting this time and the car really didn't like that at all. I stuck it on the limiter twice and it still went a 14:62@ only 93. Ryan went a 13:86@101. Congrats to ya Ryan on your 13 second time slip. Even though Ryan beat me like a red headed step child it was still a lot of fun, and a great day just having fun at the track. I'm sure when Ryan sees this he'll have some pictures and maybe videos too. I did learn a few valuable things for when I start bracket racing at RT 66 next weekend. 1. Do NOT manual shift a 4L60E. 2. Do NOT launch with the traction control on. 3. Do a burnout. The car wasn't spinning w/o one, but it did 60' better with one. Also saw L&P Racing up there and talked to them a while. Saw them make one pass and load up. Hope all is well.

I don't care what people say, those are two cool cars. Slant, get me pics of your wire. I have them in for now. We have two LS dealers selling the #$*& out of them. Great pics.

Thanks for the pics Ryan! Jeff, I saw a red GT500 w/slicks run 11:50's, another one on street tires went 13:50's. I am off to Joliet this weekend for some bracket fun. The Goat seemed fairly consistent even if it is a pig. Rick, the wire itself is 3-3/4" between the boots.

**Thread Pirate** Can you do custom length ones for the LS1 ? I've moved my coil packs and need some longer wires.. (And need half the plug end boots to have slightly angled boots on them too for clearing the header tubes)

The Goat redeemed itself somewhat yesterday at RT66. First pass it went 13:89@99, but slowed down almost every pass after that until it was back to 14:60's. At least I know it is capable of being a 13 second car like it's supposed to be. I also made it 5 rounds down to 4 cars, so I am starting the season tied for 3rd in points. I think that is the best I have ever done on opening day. I really had a golden horseshoe in my butt, first 4 rounds were a break-out, 2 red lights, and an SRT-4 missed a shift after being waaaaaaaayyyyyyyy late on the tree. I was in the game the 5th round, but decided to take the stripe against a buddy in a Roadrunner, and lost a double break-out. Shoulda, woulda, coulda. The car really seems to me to be pig rich at WOT. I am going to try and get the air box apart this week and make sure there's not a dead chicken in it or anything like that.
