It wasn't the length that was irritating....
Sorry about the Knock but posts that look like they were done by an A.D.D. riddled 16 YO on a Blackberry tend to make me move on to the next one.

That aside, I think your setup is good for the 450 hp you want as long as you concentrate ($) on getting the heads to maxi flow.

i will sugest the hughes 'whiplash" cam

its for a low CR engine and will not kill off any low end torque

idles like a funny car and smoothes out around 1800 2000 rpms and is a great red light to red light bruzer

has a nice lumpy lump to it is very street freindly..works better than what the sound would have you thinking for sure

Just curious, what oil pump did you have and how old was it?

i have have a hi volume mellings i think it 3 years old the problem isnt the oil pump. i was dumb when i rebuilt the motor left the old fuel pump on it and the diaphram cracked i think because there was gas in the oil i may throw a new oil pump on just for extra saftey.

don't think you'll have enough cam for 450. What are the specs on the cam? I think the resto cam is just a stock magnum cam. And by all means get a better carb. I'd go with a 750DP. But if you must have an Carterbrock carb get the 800 thunder series.

No porting to the 346's? The resto mod cam is pretty mild with that 115 LSA.
What converter do you intend to run.
It will still make good power with that cam with the intake and carb you have with headers.

I hope if the vacuum advance is hooked up it is on ported vacuum. I like to leave it off till I have a month of tuning and driving before i try tuning it in.

A had a Red 383 65 Fury III convertible when I was young
Called it the Heavy Resurrection Plymouth

I say, then by all means, to go with as wild a cam as you could tolerate for Saturday night cruises.
It's a Fury. W gotta keep them B-bodies in their place.
