I'm in the process of installing an electrical fan in my Cuda. The one I have is a 210/220 puller fan.

Problem is, I need a "pusher" fan, because there is not enough room between the radiator and motor. I switched the black and white wires on the fan, and it pushes rather than pulls. Is this OK to do?

I ask because I don't want to burn out the motor or anything like that.

Thanks!!

Most cases it will be fine. However a puller is much more efficient for cooling...

Because it's not blocking the radiator core.

At a recent show, I saw a car that had two smaller "puller" electric fans, mounted side by side (on either side of the pulley, where the fan would normally be mounted). There wasn't enough room between the pulley and the radiator for a single electric fan. I don't know how effective it would be, but it's another option.
