I got kinda bummed out when I finished cleaning this thing up, painted it, checked it to make sure it would work in my Ramcharger, and then was completely shut down on trying to find a filter for it.

I'm not entirely sure of the application it came in, which makes looking for a filter that much more difficult.

The base is roughly 4.50" tall, the overall diameter is roughly 14.25", and the "platform" that the filter would sit in is roughly 9" in diameter. The total height, internally, that the filter would need to be in order to contact both the top and bottom is 3.5". The only markings on it are a stamped word, "FRONT" just offset to the left of the intake snorkel.

I went though EVERY circular filter at the local checker auto. Nothing fit correctly. There was one filter that was the proper diameter, but too short.

I'm not sure if this is from a truck or a motorhome application. Getting an idea would probably be helpful.

Here are a couple shots of it.

Thanks for the help in advance. And sorry about the leatherman measuring device. It's all I had at the time

No clue what its for. But, if you goto K&N's website they have an program that allows you to plug in dimensions and it will list their filters that work. I put in 9inch outer diameter and 3.5 tall. It came up with PART NUMBER E3600.

Try that, or have one of the parts stores cross reference if you don't like K&N.

Thanks for the help

I went onto the K&N web page and entered that info, and was able to find out that my air hat might actually be from a 71-78 dodge pickup, so I picked up an appropriately sized FRAM filter and it fits great.
