Is there a reasonably priced one wire alternator for the Mopar similar to the one wire Chevy setup? I would like to ditch the external regulator. Any input appreciated.

I run a Powermaster 140 amp 8-47529 roughly $210 on my 340
and am getting a MSD 160 amp 5111 roughly $371 for my big block

If your power needs aren't much higher than stock, a Chrysler style 75A Power Master one wire alternator would work. Have a look at Mancini or Bouchillon.

The GM style 140 A unit can be a tight fit/no fit on a BB especially with aluminum heads. I bought one and had to return it ("B" engine with Edelbrock heads).

Yeah, I'm running Edelbrock Aluminum heads and a Max Wedge Intake from A & A. I have the Bouchillon alternator bracket and low mount A/C bracket and shorty A/C compressor. I have MSD ignition and 6AL box. Not sure how many Amp Alternator I should run. Wondering if I could run a GM one wire for simplicity but also looking at compact versions. Just trying to see what other people have run into and what they did to solve problem.

The 75A Chrysler style should provide enough juice for what you're running.

I run the 75/80 amp powermaster amp. You can get this is a one wire with single or dual groove pulley.

It also comes in your choice of natural, or a nice chromed look!

It will also hook right back up to your brackets, as its nothing more than a stock re-worked casing with an internal regulator on top.
