Bill Hirsch Auto Space Age Bright Aluminum 2000 degree spray paint.

There is no other paint. From there, you move on to ceramic coatings.

Me? Rustoleum Hi-temp... I only want it to look good when it's installed...

I've had good luck with Eastwood's Stainless Steel hi-temp paint.

Freshly painted with EastWood Matte Silver! Durability remains to be seen but the paint went on very well and appears to have a lot of metallic and/or ceramic content.

Looks good, let me know how it lasts after headers are installed and motor has ran

I've used Eastwoods Hi Temp Silver on a set of used Hookers. I sandblasted them, dunked them in degreaser, brused a coat on, had them baked at a local powder coaters oven, applied a 2nd coat and had them rebaked. Initial start up was odor free and they lasted for 3+ years until I went to TTI's. They did have a little rust where the collectors were welded together. Easy touch up too!!!

The key here is to blast them clean and degrease them. Painting over just sanded tubes ain't gonna cut it.

Good point on the preparation. I chemically stripped mine, then sanded them down to bare metal. I only have a spot type sandblaster so I used it to get into the nooks and crannies. Then I liberally used wax and grease remover to prep them for the first coat. Not quite as intensive as detailed in the previous post but I expect decent results.

The better half wasn't too pleased when she stopped by the shop and saw my NEW headers as they were being stripped!
