Is it hard to install a headliner in a 68 Roadrunner?

Yeh..it can be a pain. The sections from the rear window forward are easy...it's getting the sail panel areas tight and glued down that's the pain.
Don't know why Mopar didn't use the "teeth" along the parcel shelf edge like they ended up doing with the E-Bodies.....makes getting the headliner nice and tight in the sail area.
And beleive me...the LESS glue you use makes for NOT getting it all over the headliner when installing!! DAMHIK!
But once you've done one....you'll feel like a pro!

The professional upholstry shop that did my Charger, said is was are real challenge...
They use a steam gun to get the wrinkles out and pull it tight..

I'm fairly handy with this kind of stuff, but I wouldn't do it again. (68 Charger). Sail panels are hard. Having done it once, I wouldn't try to do it again. (i.e. - I think the 2nd try would still look like crap at the sail panels).

Ummm...I did mine and its not that bad. Maybe mine was easier because I had the glass out of the car I did some reasearch here and got a bunch of little clips to put it in place and it may have taken me 3 hours total. I figured the worse that can happen is I waste $90 in material. The wrinkles all come out in a couple days by themselves if you streach it good.
I figure that part of the hobby is doing this stuff by yourself.
