Is it ok to put a screen in front of a radiator without affecting cooling? this will be a new 3 row aluminum, would kinda like to keep it bug free if possible.

This should cause a major argument. I always use a piece of hardware cloth (heavy screen, holes about 1/8" square). Stepson uses stainless window screen on his hemi Ram. Neither us has had a problem with overheating.Don't put it in tight to the radiator and remember it will need a brushing or hosing occasionally. On a side note a back rinse of the radiator fins is a good way to maintain radiator efficiency especially if you don't use a screen. This really helps daily drivers with A/C and a good first effort when you have an overheating problem. One of the few good uses for a car wash. Can't beat the price compared to a trip to the radiator shop.

Been done for eons. If you are worried about it obstructing air flow (which it will to a lesser degree) mount it to the grill, out away a little from the radiator to allow air flow behind it but still stop the inflow of bugs.
