I agree with John and as a side note, you don't want to run a wire brush in the bores, the corners should be nice and sharp to keep tiny particles from wedging between the valve and the bore. Also you don't really want to clean the valves with anything that will take the sharp corners off. It will make them slide nice and easy on the bench but can cause problems when running.


I am not causing global warming, I am just trying to hold off a impending Ice Age!

I have another transmission in the works right now, just hate junking something without knowing why it went bad.
Thats why I'm messing with this one still.

Did you dig into it any deeper ???

Remove the tailshaft/governer etc.

Anything else
