High 70's today according to my back yard thermometer.
Beautiful day.
I want to be driving.
I got my oil filter pad issue cleared up this week end and today I took the block to the machine shop to be boiled and check the main bearing bore and deck for squareness.
Asked how close we are to having flow numbers.....should be soon.
Then I can send the cam blank out to be ground.
I am going to wait till I get some dyno numbers before I order the converter , just to be sure.
Ordered up a 904 today ......... I had 727 on the brain , but talking to a local who is good with these things , I re-thought my options.
But even though I have a garage full of things to do still , I am second guessing myself and changing things on the fly.
I have a nearly new 742 case with a Detroit locker and 3.91's ............Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Sell the locker and buy a spool ?
Why not ?
Billet cap for the case ?
Why not ?
Though it will see some street use , I am leaning more and more towards race car.
With mufflers.
My target is late May to be testing , and it is do-able.
But a lot hangs on the work of others.
So I keep plugging away with what I can do.
But the wait is KILLING Me !

You guys who are making laps already , know this.
Inspite of my being extremely jealous , I am using you for motivation.
So in a back handed sort of way........thanks.

well if its any consolation,i had my 67 cuda running over the weekend, new motor i bought already assembled pulled the heads to see what was.[440 11.3,mild ported 906's.solid 640 roller, gear drive, the whole crank had been polished, everything looked good.]reassembled put in car sounded good, not used to a noisey gear drive, could here a a squeak that sounded like alt. belt took belt off no change, pulled tc to look at gear drive looked ok,pulled valve covers everything there look ok,started it up like this and i can still here noise but can't tell where its coming from so out comes the motor,i was planning on racing it this weekend but it's not happenen now.

Well this is the fun part of building a car but waiting
on others can and will always be a problem.... if
they arent on time it just screws it all up....
good luck with your build BUT if it doesnt happen in
the time frame you want dont let it get you down....
and there is always something else that could/can be
getting done

I just made 16 passes at MATS last weekend. I had some great races.
