What size spring and what head?
67 Barracuda street car, 408, e85, 1.38 60', 6.44 @105.9 in the 1/8 mile, 10.19 @130.5 in the 1/4...so far....

try some -.050 keepers
X2.
Lash cap: changes the geometry. Unless it's already wrong in the opposite direction this will make things worse. Grind the rocker: and then you know exactly where it will break.

1.550 springs on mine and I definitely have to have my Harlands machined. I hate it cause the rockers dont last as long.

i myself would not cut on the rocker arms.i would get the clearence another way.i would be worried that i would weaken them. with alot of spring,thats not good.....

Yep, My springs arent crazy heavy, but the 943 is over 540# open IIRC.
Im gonna try the keeper trick.

630-16 is what we used. They are for 11/32, single groove valves with 10 deg retainers
