No fuel components mounted to the firewall and I'm not a fan of fuel lines passing over (especially the couplings)the headers. Also keep in mind that the isolator needs to be at the same level as the gauge.

Since I moved the gauges into the dash the mechanical fuel pressure gauge line isn't long enough to reach it's old mounting spot.
I thought about running the isolater hose through the firewall & then just mount the isolater horizontial just above it. Then I had this idea but I am not sure if it will pass tech.
The isolater it outside???
Any input or better ideas??? This car will still be usig a steel hood so it has to stay clear of the hinges..
Not suppost to be within 6" of the firewall(any fuel items) but like said they may over look it if its just under the 6"

I thought it was 6 inchs of bell housing ,the reason i say this because one side of isolater is fuel the other has no fuel in the line running into car . ive run one for 20 years mine mounted on intake by alltread rod CUSTOM BENT to fit up and away from bell housing . Don
What I recall is 6" from the firewall.... I could be wrong

I had one just like that in my 68 dart that I used for the nitrous side and mounted it where the wiper motor was. Ran two seasons like that at a couple different tracks. Never was mentioned.

I know my isolator isnt 6" off the firewall but it may be about 5" and I know that no one has given me any problems byt at least its close to the spec This is from a older book " fuel pressure gauge isolators with steel braided line, may be mounted on firewall"

Well now that I found my 2009 RULE BOOK section 19 General regs Section 1:5 Fuel systems reads: "Cool cans, fuel distribution blocks ect must be 6" forward of the flywheel / bell housing on a RWD car & oddosite side of a FWD. Fuel pressure gauge isolators with steel braided line MAY BE MOUNTED ON THE FIRE WALL"
I think I will mount it where ROADHAZARD has his....
Thanks for the pic!!!!

I never heard that the isolator had to be even with the gage, is this true?
I don't believe so. My isolator is on the firewall and the guage is under the dash and has worked fine for 20 years. The AN line that runs out the back of the isolator goes through one of the original heater core holes I also used hard steel line from the fuel log to the isolator. I'm too cheap for braided lines and fittings
