Another victim of the flood of 09. Every time I fix something I find something else. This time the speedo head locked up and snapped the cable. I have a replacement that is too long. What is the best way to cut and square the end?

If you need just the cable core, Dorman makes a universal cable core with a square end and a crimping tool. Any real auto supply will have one.
