My 06 3500 cummins wont start after I pulled the battery off while running to use on my tractor. It stalled when I put the truck in gear to move it while the battery was still on the tractor and also a small round red warning light is flashing just to the left side of the temperature gauge. Did it set off some kind anti theft system so the truck wont start now? Also what to do to fix it, does it need to go to dodge house or a mechanic thats got the newer diagnostics machines. Thanks

Have you tried locking and unlocking the drivers door with the key? BTW it isn't a good idea to remove the battery from a running vehicle becuase it can fry the charging system etc. on these newer comp controled cars and trucks.

Just tried the key in the door lock and unlock. It still didn't start, I just got through pulling it home after checking all fuses and everything else I could think of. the key fob is part of the key where you hold it it still works to lock and unlock the truck but still wont fire up the engine.I tried leaving the key in the on position for about 45 min. that didn't work either. Yes I know unhooking while running is not good I was actually stuck in the mud at the deer lease yesterday when all this came about if that has something to do with I don't know, it wasn't hot or anything like that. It just died when we started to pull it out with the tractor.

Hooked it to a scanner last week, it had no communication to the ecu so I dropped it off at the dodge house last thursday. I picked it up yesterday (one week and one day later) almost $2000 for a reman ecu and program it for the truck. Having the battery unhooked while running seems to have backfed through the computer and shorted it out inside.
