ok im pretty sure this is a 8 inch rear end but just wanna confirm it the code on the rear end tag is WCZ-L is there a site out there where i could look this code up to confirm it or does anyone know off the top of there heads any help would be appritiated thanks jason

If so, easy way to tell is look at it...the couple of bottom mounting nuts (for the center pumkin) if you could put a long extension on them to remove them, it's an 8"....if the pinion support area overhangs (on the bottom) a couple of them, it's a 9"

You can kind of see here on mine what I am saying. This is a Strange housing, but same basic idea..

ok cool ty yea mines deffinatly a 8 inch then now weather to run it or keep searching for a 9 inch

I guess I would considor the weight of the vehicle versus horsepower and go from there.

ok did some research and found out its neither a 9 inch or a 8 inch its a 7 3/4 so im leaning twards scraping it and continue looking for a 9 inch housing
