Ok my 7 1/4 will soon be history.I need to get new u bolts anyone done this swap and what lenagh did ya use 7,8,9, inch I have 5 leafs now and plan on haveing one more added.69 dart 8 3/4 is what I am working on Thanks.

any car shockplate from a larger axle will work

the u-bolts are 3" wide and how long you need

on mine in the 68 Dart I used stock plates and u-bolts from a 74 Dart with 8 1/4 axle

measure your u-bolt from top of axle tube to end of bolt

or center of u-bolt to ends of bolt

cant measure yet houseing is still on my bench.Maybe someone could measure there A body and have an answer.Hey CanAl up to measuring your 69.

the 74 dart u-bolts and spring plates I used on my 68 Dart and the 85 truck

are 3"x7" stock

I have used longer ones from lowering kits and cut them off when torqued down also
