They are Engine Pro made by Sealed power part #16-HT2011B. Are they a solid lifter ? I can't seem to find any info on them.

Solid lifters are obvious as they don't have a plunger in the center. They are one solid piece. That's why they are called that.

Im using comp cam #20-231-4. The lifters I received are #16-HT2011B. 2 months later I open the box of lifters and see the plunger. Obviously think "wrong lifters". So I order a set of the Hughes Engines lifters #HUD5012EDM (hughesengines.com). If you go to their site and look at the top of these lifters, they look like the plunger style (hydraulic) lifters. So, can you explain the difference and answer my original question ?

Wasn't that hard to find. sealed power is federal mogul.

First of all, I wouldn't ask the question without doing the research myself. Ive been to Jegs & Summit sites multiple times and have found #HT2011. But no listing for HT2011B. Not sure what the B stands for or if it makes any difference. I have a stock solid lifter and a hydraulic lifter in my hand and know the difference between the two. Since everything is so easy for you and you know everything, could you explain why the hughes lifters #HUG 5012EDM look just like hydraulic lifters but are advertised as solid ? And whats the "B" at the end of the part # ? Sometimes one letter changes everything ! I did find the part #HT2011B on Rock Auto and they list it as hydraulic. Im trying to avoid paying for a set of lifters I won't use. And if Im wasting your time then please don't respond to my questions.

According to a google search, HT2011B is a (B)bulk carton of 117 hydraulic lifters, available from many sources.

HT2011 is the same thing, only sold individually.

The hughes are advertized as an oil through lifter. Meaning basically they just took a hydraulic lifter and sleeved it so the plunger wouldn't move but allows oil to flow through the lifter to the push rods. Some Mopar push rods are hollow to allow oil to the rockers. The lifters can be used with or with out a hollow push rod.

This verifies that I don't want to use these lifters with the Comp cam 20-231-4. Thanks Doc

So I can use these lifters with my cam ! Thanks for the explanation Stumpy. I'll try to be more specific next time I ask a question.
