I don't believe sliders will prevent wheel hop.

it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

not to steal a thread, but what are the advantages of the sliders besides lowering the car?

It frees the spring up.The bushing has a ton of drag on it.The slider lets the spring react faster.

I'll let you know as soon as I get it finished.
On paper , it makes sense.
We'll see if it translates on pavement.
I am moving the leafs under the frame rails and I have heard a couple folks who said they liked them , so I decided to give them a try.

The sliders move on roller bearings so they move very easy, They also slide fore and aft, not in an arc like a shackle which changes ride height some as it moves

They allow the spring to move more freely as 8sec dart said. They allow the spring to move in a more natural plane as well. From what I hear they also make shock adjustments more apparent. I have a spare set that I won't be using, PM me if you are interested.

you may be confusing that...
ladder bar. link bar with leafs needs a swivel perch for the axle .
something totally different than whats being discussed here..

if you leave the front mounts stock position
.raising the rear of the spring with the slider..
i understand can put more bite in it..?
it lowers the i/c a slight amount.
i dont think you can go wrong with the slider
unless you NEED more tire clearence...

what type of wheel hop are you seeing.?
you may need clamps on the front half of the spring...or solid front bushings..depending.
cheapst.

What shocks do you have on it and what are they set at?

I made boxes that took up the area of shacks so to keep things in the org location.

What these do is as mentioned lets your rear springs react instantly, in some vids from the rear my shocks fully extend when the clutch is dumped, the QA1 double adjust helped slow it down a bit to hook better, at first they would extend too quickly and then the tires would spin.

How tight are you running the extension ... I'm at
9 on my 12 way single QA-1s but of course all cars
like a little different.... have you taken any video
lately of your launch(gives you a good idea on whats
going on)

i've been using their sliders for the last couple of seasons and really like them.the idea of the sliders is to help control the springs rate.with shackles as they swing thru their arc the spring rate will change thus unloading the tires.if you use them make sure that you install them with a slant down in the front not flush with the frame.i also have their ball & socket type front spring bushings which help to eliminate spring bind from twisting.

Not to steal the thread...

I just mocked mine up on the duster and there is some slop in between the bushing and the rear spring eyelet. Is this designed this way, or do I need to machine something for a pressed fit??

i'm using ss springs and on mine i actually had to open up the diameter of the rear spring eye to press the aluminum sleeve in.i wouldn't think slop there would be a good thing.
