I'm just getting my six pack started for the first time. it will run at high rpm but not idle at all what could be the problem

I plugged everything off and it still is dead on idle

Matt there was a thread a day or so ago on a six pack issue that was very comprehensive that may help you.

new?old? or rebuilt carbs?

make sure the outer two carbs butterflys are actually closed.

I've seen it alot where the linkage is not adjusted correctly holding the outer two carbs open -

rebuilt

when you say thread, is that a question on this question and answer page?

aarcuda had a thread about an idle issue.

You need to make sure you have proper initial advance, outboards are closed, no vac leaks.

Basics first; timing, float levels, etc.
