Has anyone used the Falken Ziex S/TZ01 tires. Was wondering how they performed and the looks of the tire, specifically I was looking at the 235/55/17 and the 275/50/17 sizes for my 72 Cuda. They are listed as SUV/Sport truck and passenger.

I don't want the look of a truck tire !

I put a set on my Dakota R/T a few months ago and have not found anything great about them. The problem seems to be the that 275/50/17 tires are not very popular and choices are very limited.

Only if your suv/truck is a Volvo or Audi. We sell a few of these in our store. Don't have any personal experience only mounting and handling. Look as good and as heavy as a Michelin. Definately better than anything Cooper has to offer.

The company made us take down the banner that read : GET YOU FALKEN TIRES HERE!

I was just looking at a set of them yesterday for my Jeep Grand Cherokee. Set of four was quoted at $461.10 out the door (LT235/75R15 STZ04). A little cheaper than the Goodyear Wranglers quoted at $480.68 OTD for the same size. I was saying to the tire guy how I'd like to have a sticker made up. Saying:

These Falken tires are great!
Don't mess with my Falken tires!
My Falken tires are better than yours!
These Falken tires are really worth it!

Just a few things we came up with. They're really missing a great ad campaign here. People would get on this boat fast.

More of a light truck tire than a car tire.I would look for something else.If you want a falken try the ZE-912 line.

I don't have any experience with them lately, but we had a set of Falken Ziex performance tires on my wife's Neon back in the late 90's. A very good looking tire that handled great, but holy cow were they a noisy tire. A lot of people would comment on the tire noise while riding in the car. My Dad had a set on his '89 CS Daytona...he loved them. I don't recall any tire noise on those, even though they were the same kind of tire on my wife's Neon, but only bigger.

I had a set of these Falken tires on my 2007 Ram 1500 size 285 40 22. They handle great and wear well, but starting line traction isnt nearly as good as my Nitto 420 tires. I can barely peel out with the Nittos. The Falkens allow a 25-30 foot peelie.

I had a set of those Falken tires on a turbo Daytona and they wore out Falken fast. The traction was nice but not that much Falken better than other tires.

I've got Yokohamas on it now and while they cost about 10 bucks more a tire they have better traction in the dry and the wet and I've been able to keep them on the car.

I'll never own another set of Falkens.
