They sure are fun. I really really miss my 5-speed mustang. It ran 12.30s and was an absolute blast to drive. I also really liked the challenge of making it work on street radials. I could only muster 13.20s or so when I got it. Before I got rid of it I was going 12.70s on a regular radial tire with a 1.84 60ft just by doing better foot work . There is a downside. I had the car for two years and broke everything behind the clutch disc other than the ring and pinion. Even twisted the splines inside the driveshaft yoke!

My best is a 10.30 @131.11. I was using 1-2 Pro shifted and 3-4 face plated Hemi 4 speed. It's an absolute blast to drive.

I've gone 9.85 at 137mph with a stick. SS/AH cars are running 8.40's with Jerico transmissions.

Technically a stick car is usually faster (mph) than an auto. Now as far as which is quicker,.....we can all debate that one, so who knows.
I plan on being in the neighborhood of my auto trans times, when I'm all said and done with my stick conversion. Ran 11.07 at 120 mph as a best with the auto. So far I only ran 3 times down the track with the stick, and ran a 11.9 at 120mph blowing the tires off at the line, missing 3rd gear, and then missing 4th gear, and then running out of fuel through the traps,.....So it should run pretty good when I get things sorted out.
