A guy named Ted May owned that car back in the seventies and early eighties...as I recall he was from the midwest area, Chicago maybe? As I recall, the car was pretty successful
He went on to be pretty successful in IHRA Pro Mod in the early days.

Yes, I agree that is Ted May's car. I raced against him a number of times back in the 80's at Cordova and Byron.

the fuel tank in the trunk when i had it was awesome i would have never thought of that.....best of luck with the car
71 demon stock stroke 440/indy ez-1 running 10.10 @ 132.14 mph in the 1/4 and 6.36 @ 107.46 mph in the 1/8 not in the same weekend but It did it then I sold it. 67 Belvedere that worked it's way in the 10's
