This project is from a few years ago but I have the pictures and will post in sequence of the build. It was a project that was caught in the middle of a divorce battle, and was never finished till we gained custody and made it our own. The first few pictures are of the car when It first rolled in the door, the body and paint was already done but that was it just a shell.

Before anyone asks the Keystone Classics are already gone. Please anyone who takes over a project try to take a good inventory of what is there because the little things really add up fast when putting a complete car together.

The previous owner had a "professional body shop" do all the body work new quarters, trunk pan, drivers side floorboard, one inner wheel well and the new viper yellow paint. But what he didnt tell her was he was just gonna lay the new floor pan in over the old rusty one, put a few tack welds in and smooth some bondo around to look good but from underneath you can still see all the pin holes from the old pan so I cut it out and butt welded the new pan in the correct way. The grey primer is where the old pan was laid in there.

Having never put complete windows and regulators in a car it was very intimidating but with some help from some good people on moparts they went in and worked.

Not doing the instrument cluster/dash wiring with the dash out of the car may be something you ask yourself about later also. On my son's '73 SSP we did all the wiring with the dash out of the car and it was easy as pie. Connect everything on the back side of the dash and THEN put it in the car. Once you set the dash in the car all you have to worry about is running the harness down the driver side kick area and attaching the bulkhead connector to the firewall. No laying on your back struggling under the dash BS.

The good thing is the seats were in about perfect shape so with a little cleanup on the tracks and some new grease they were ready to bolt in.

only issue was with the alternator to frame rail clearance....just a little tight, nothing a cutoff wheel couldnt take care of.

There were a few pieces that were not painted and after getting them into shape and painted I think I know why the "pro body guy" quit when he did. He never test fit the rear valance when he put the new quarters on the car. The next few pics will show why its better to always test fit all parts as you progress with a car.
