BETTING - thats your problem...
quick story - rebuilt dad's 383 - used mopar new oil pump, and it would not prime... with a drill, for initial fire up.
finially got prime, and when the oil was changed the prime was gone... ran 10 seconds with no oil...
pulled sending unit and put in a mechanical gague... NOTHING with a drill for prime again...
PULL THAT SUCKER before you kill your motor!!!
