anyone running this coil,it takes 1/4 ohm ballast resister, did this coil ever burn out on anybody?is this truley a race only?i know they say the gold ecu is race only but people them all the time.i searched every coil in summit, and no other coil runs at 1/4 ohm.this coil has an accel top on it,so im thinking they make it special for mopar cause no other accel coil runs such a low ohm...i also want to run the b/rb billet mechanical mopar distributor anyone like these as well.any input will help guys...

We have been using that coil for over 25 years. In fact I replaced the original one in the car because I felt it was old and a new coil might be in order,so the old is now the backup. We've never burned out any coil. They are made by Accel for Mopar.I also ran that coil on the street with a MSD 6 with no problems.

We use the old Mopar tach drive distributor and gold box ignition.

We use Superformance gaskets and Turbo Action converters/products.
