Hi guys, a friend of mine has a new hemi block, casting #2468330-M. He is wondering if this block can be bored to 4.5 inches, and if so will it be streetable?
Thanks!
Joe

I'm pretty sure that block is resto block with non-Siamese bores. These have a standard 4.25 bore and I wouldn't take it over .060" unless you had it sonic tested, but even then i doubt you could go another .25".

Even the Siamese blocks needed to be sonic tested if you are going to 4.5" If you want to tell for sure, just stick a wire through the water holes on the deck and try to thread it to the other side. If it doesn't go through, it has Siamese bores, or you could shine a light into the water holes and see if you can see the light on the other side of the deck.
