I build motor plate kits for the 8162 alternator. I also make the billet pulley for the 8162 alternator.

Still wondering where I can find your stuff?

For a bracket/ET or class car it is a no brainer to run an alternator. Continuous 14+ volts going downtrack you ignition will love you! I run a single redtop and east coast mini. I charge before the race and perhaps after 3rd or 4th round. Even then it only takes 5-10mins at 10amps to top it off.
Now my TS car is another story. It came with 16volt battery, which I LOVE btw. But it does draw down during a run, especially a NOS run. Although TS is just a fast bracket class I hesitate to throw an alternator on it or even another battery. Reason is I am dangerously close to the bump at most events. Probably why I see alot of guys with jumper boxes to start their TS rides...
