Anyone know the weights (total, big end, small end) for Scat BB H-beam 6.76" (.990" or 1.094" pin) rods? They seem to be one of the few rods I can't find specs for and am trying to figure out where they compare to other rods for possible future use.

Also, I've heard a couple of cases recently about Scat's machining work not being as good as in the past. Has this applied to their rods, cranks, "everything"?

I bought a set of these rods with the .990 pin and from memory they were about 855 grams when I totaled them up. I looked on the box today but the numbers got oiled and dissapeared. I brought them into wheeler racing engines and they measured/inspected them and said they were good to go out of the box. Machining looks good. Nice rods

Edit: I found the weights for my rods on the box when I shined a bright light on it they are: Big end-576g, small end-278g. 854 I was close.

Since nobody seems to have a list, let's start our own for all the SCAT H-beam rods. I have these in my engine:

6.535, 0.990, 2.200 bearing: 566.6 + 237.6 = 804.2 grams

FWIW, I just came across these #s during a Google search, although the ad description didn't specify the pin size: Scat 440 H-beam rods - 853g (big end 579, small end 274)

Looks like the K1 rods are about 25g lighter overall.

So does Dan Costello (DRAM); it's a "no brainer" who I'd deal with.

The set I bought off Andy recently says 579+260 on the box. They're std 440 dimensions including 1.094 pin.

If it matters at all the Manley products in my 451 are (ballpark) 900 with the same oal/big end/little end/crank pin dimensions.

The Eagle .990" rods in my RB 452 are 880-890g, IIRC. Definitely room to go on a diet, although I'm comfortable they'll take all the abuse I'll ever throw at 'em.
