Friend said he is having trouble finding brake pads for his 69 GTX. I haven't looked into it myself. Anybody know what is availible?

You can send your old brake pads down to these guys to be relined.
They did an excellent job on a set that i had done by them.
They show up on e Bay from time to time, but it seems they never do, when you need them.
They are totally obsolete at the regular parts level sources for those Bendix 4 piston brake systems.
They are still out there, but very difficult to find from the people that may have some.

Holy Cow Man!!! I never thought I would see the day when you could buy a quarter panel but not a set of brake pads for these cars.

A local customers shop had these delivered within a day. IIRC, under well $80 each shop cost with exchange. They are not sleeved. But looked pretty darn nice.
