On a "70 Hemi Charger how come some badges are up front and some are on the door?

68 and 69 are on the door,but 70 is on the fender because of the R/T scoops that cover the door scallops on a 70 Charger R/T

The same emblem was used from mid 1967 through 1970. Location varied between fenders and doors, depending on models and years.

There is a restored dark blue '70 with a white top that is in Canada that has them on the door. I've seen it in a car magazine.

Aside from the first 70 Charger produced (a Hemi 500) the Hemi was only available in the R/T model which came with reversed door scoops....thus the Hemi badge had to go on the forward section of the fender and in a few cases the fender section behind the front wheel.

Here was mine. It was all original unrestored.
