I've got a BG5000 fuel filter and it's advertises to work with Gas, Alcohol and Nitro but it's some sort of paper filter and that makes me nervous. I just bought a new filter and o-rings so it should be good to go but before I plumbed and mounted it in the car I thought I'd check.

I know stainless screens work and that's what I would replace it with but wanted to see if others have used them with success so I could stop worrying about it.

the paper element is no good, it got plugged up on my friends dragster.

I used that filter for years with very little problems. if you have foam in your cell, take it out. If it deteriorates it will plug the filter in a hurry. that is the only real problem i ever had.
