That engine bay looks a 1000% better painted the correct body color. Let those two pics serve as an example of why people should not just go the "fog black" route when doing the engine bay. Nice job.

Wow, what a difference. I sure would like to have seen step-by-step series of pictures when they did that. Very cool, and great job on the hood blackout. Inspirational!!

Looks AMAZING! As mentioned, the detail of the engine bay in body color made a huge difference. Congrats! Sounds like some nice sons you have too.

I failed to mention that all the engine work was done with the engine still in the bay........and I went to a car show near Asheboro , NC on Sat and took first place in the pre '80s class. There were 94 entries of all over the board cars and trucks.

Now that is more like it.
Just not a fan of the black (chevy) engine bays. Looks awesome now.

it looks 100% better since you painted the engine bay body color, looked like a chevy guy painted it before. congrats

We had a race at the Rockingham track on sat..........the Polar Bear 150. Our club got to ride the track a few laps before the race with some of the vintage race cars. The video is about 4 min long. The track is a mile and is high banked. At speed she seems to narrow up and looks a lot different that when looking from the stands............
