What's the best way to mount an aluminum radiator without mounting tabs?Any examples you can show me?

I set mine on pins and set them in the holes that are in the bottom of the factory core support.

90s Dodge Dakota rubber mounts fit the holes perfect.

Will get some pics of my rad tomorrow if I get the chance.

On mine, I used some aluminum channel for the bottom, so it sits in a "saddle" like a GM car or truck; then I fabbed 2 aluminum "L" brackets to hold the top. Some foam rubber strips insulate the radiator from the saddle & brackets.
Light weight and easy to pull the radiator if needed. The saddle mounts to the bottom of the radiator support, and the top brackets are mounted to the upper tie bar (aka upper yoke).

This is how I mounted mine.

I used straight brake line as spacers, and 1/4" bolts.

Cheap and easy.

Jeff-I have always done it similar to the picture above with bolts in the top and bottom through the little lip above the core. Hard to see in the picture but if you look close on the pass side you can see it.

This is pretty much how I did mine but since it leans
back quite a bit the top has a bracket on the rad
and I use a strut back to the engine... I also use
2 brackets as clamps on the bottom to hold it down

I mounted mine with tubing, then put pins on the crossbar. Held on by clevis pins for easy removal..

You could also just weld on some simple tabs to mount it in the stock holes or others...I know a guy

I had tabs welded on mine. Didn't line up with the original holes, o I drilled new ones. The cost of the brackets and to have them welded on was less than $50.

I had to change my rad and fan due to an unfortunate "meeting" of my rad and fan after the last event. So this time I just used the outer "lip", instead of both. Just alittle cleaner looking. And plenty strong.

On the bottom, I made a simple cradle with 2 bolts on the bottom and made holes in that pan area that's part of the body, that the cradle sits in. On top, I used holes through the top lip as others have done, with a spacer between the lips.

Here is a pic of the cradle, there is a transcooler installed in front of where the rad goes.

Thanks for the pics and ideas everyone. I'm doing this on an El Camino ,and was going to do L brackets for the top,but I like the bolt thru w/spacers idea better. Will copy the cradle for the bottom too.

Chassisman,I haven't seen under the hood of the dart, just the tailights.

I use 2 pieces of aluminum angle at the top to attach/hang the readiator to the core support and then use 1/4" bolts with spacers at the bottom to pull it up to the core support.
