Since there is a post about big blocks with 6 packs, lets hear about some small blocks.
I'll start
11.93 @ 112+mph
340, .509 cam, headers, 100 shot NOS (best of 12.35 @ 109 on motor.)

Tom didn't a couple of the guys running FAST 340+4 dusters better your times by just a little?

Yes,but consider the 600 lb difference Scott.

I wonder what a Pack car would go if it weighed less than 3000 lbs. What do you think?

Surely you don't think that it's not? Right Scott?

mines slow compared to your. stock bodied car runs 8.01 in the 1/8 with the old cherry bombs on it before I got the carbs worked out. not sure what it will run now the carbs are right (well as right as the LM1 says) and the 3" exhaust on it.

I'll find out when the daisy bloom (track is closed until spring)

Tom I wasn't trying to I just thought that there were some faster small blocks in FAST that's all. Yes I agree, a duster with a six pack would probably be even faster.

Yes, that was forum member Elephuntman (or something like that.) He had the record a while back in C/SA at 10.30...something! Not sure if that was an altitude factored ET or actual.

Or a Pack in a lighter Challenger...Now that would work pretty good too I think.

How come none of the bigger events (Mopar Nats, MATS, Chrysler Classic) don't have a race class for the Six pack cars? I think it would be neat to see a class for 6 pack and 6 barrel cars.

Yea, I thought about that too, of course then there's the traction issue, seems at some point you'd be adding weight back just to get a bite?

I`ve been asking that question for years.
They have Hemi,M-Wedge SS,but snub the 6bbl.

Less mass overall, less traction needed to get the weight moving.

Sorry for going off topic.

I've only seen Gene run d,e/sa with his Challenger. I've never heard of him running 10.30.

It's been at least a year, maybe two. The engine got factored to the point of being able to run in C/SA (big block territory)and it may have gotten hit after the record. I recall it being 10.30 - something.
