Do you need a special front bumper to install these? Can you use a regular bumper and paint it?
Thanks
You can use a reqular bumper, just have to locate the holes in the topside to install the ureathane hood, if your doing the rear bumber painted as well, yes they were rubber coated, but the membrane was so thin, that paint can duplicate the appearance, the bumper bolts are exposed and painted front or rear,....the B body rubber bumper treatment wasn't as complex/involved as the E bodies

God I want one of these so bad it hurts. IMO it is the iceing on the cake for the body lines.
In fact the first RR I saw had original Elastomeric bumbers, louvers and Air Grabber which blew my mind and I've been in lust ever since.
These options are just "out there" compared with cars today.

i have that part figured out already i'm just tossing ideas in my head around for the applique it would probably just be easier to bite the bullet with gene...

Since it doesn't have to be structural, does someone make a fiberglass copy of it?

The one Gene makes is very nice, although spendy, but a lot of the cost is in the ureathane, it's one heavy thick peice!....the studs are welded in a strip submerged in the ureathane, so you don't have to worry about them turning on you as you tighten them,.....in regards to a fiberglass unit, there was one available years back,...I'll see if I can locate the manufacturer, plus there was a member on Moparts, YEARS back that was going to make a mold of one, to do a fiberglass lay up,....I don't know it that ever happened?,...all I remember was he had a red/orange 71 RR,...forgot his name/handle

I didn't have much luck locating the vendor I thought offered a front bumper cover,....I believe it was Fiberglass trends, I believe they were in Almedia, California,...I know they offered an exensive list of parts, incuding a glass repro of the 71-2 Ply AirGrabber hood, the whole hood......can't find a site for them?....as far as Gene, he usually makes these things in batches,.....he waits until he gets enough orders, so if you miss out on it, the wait is until whenever?.......
