Who knows... my guess someone cracked an original and that's what got put on... most of the BB open chamber heads are the same with different cast numbers.  Don't worry about it Edit: that late may have hardened seats (unlead friendly) so... that may explain the swap too.

post the #'s for the block (casting # for the date on one side of the block and/or the (prefix) letter on the machined pad by the dist and the last # 3's on the head(s)& lets see what you got.

'71 (model year) eng & I believe 346's replaced the 906's sometime in 70 or 71 so I'd say all original.
