I know some of you guys ran them in years past. What rpm were you shifting those monsters at? What rpm do they make their peak power? How good is the build it your self tunnel ram for the B1 originals?

Getting old just means you were smarter than some and luckier than others.

I just finished a 394" 383 with B1 origional heads that were as cast except for the exhaust ports and it made 782hp at 8200rpm with a 750cfm 4150 holley with an adapter to the dominator B1 Manifold. The manifold probably hurt this engine power wise because its HUGE for the cubic inches. I would imaging a 451-470 would make a fairly decent amount more power. The engine just made a super stock 68 Cuda go 9.45 @ 141.

10.53 @ 125mph. 1.37 60 foot. Caltracs and Monoleafs, AFCO shocks.

Heads by INDIO MOTOR MACHINE; IMM.
CP Pistons, PC Carbs.
