I know this isn't exactly "race related" but it's where I hang out and where most of the people I know hang out...and it sort of is..
I've never done this before but this morning I called my uncle who was in the army and a Vietnam Veteran and thanked him for his service in the Army for our country.
Only took about 1 min and I think it really meant a lot to him, almost sounded like he got choked up and he's a really rough guy.
I think a lot of us (including me) who have never been in the military take for granted the freedom we have and the great country we live in because of the ones who do and have served. This freedom allow us to enjoy the sport of drag racing.
So I wanted to share this with you guys and if you can think of someone you know who served in the military, give them a call and thank them. It'll mean a lot to them and it's just a simple phone call for us. I did feel a little awkward as I was dialing but I thought that was pretty stupid compare to the price they were willing to pay.
