Checked the numbers on my six pack and the carbs are 340 carbs. Maybe that's why my 440 ran like crap with them on when I first got the car!

Anyhow, I read that besides the jetting, the venturis are a different size than the 440 carbs. The 340 and 440 carbs are rated at the same cfm. I can change the jets in the main carb and I understand drilling out the metering blocks in the outboard carbs. Are there any other problems/ things I need to change for these to work?

Well, that's a loaded question. The 340 and 440 carbs are interchangeable. I have 440 carbs on my 340, but for correctness, I'd like to have 340 carbs. Other than correctness, there is no need to worry about that. Drop some specs of the motor and what she's doing and maybe we can help. I dropped the ProMax stuff in mine and after some tuning, the car is unbelievable.

Hey thanks. I didn't know if they would act differently to the same tune. I'm putting the setup on a different motor - which I haven't finished yet.

Tony is right on. Brent's 68 Runner 383 4 speed
ran 4 different carbs from Edlebrock , Holly, to
Demon. We also ran the same carbs on my CST pickup
327 stroked (383). With very little fine tuning
they all ran great. but the Demon 750 made the
most power. The annular boosters realy wake up
the mid range and still have more top end.
