Who knows this guy from Wv, runs a AMX with a 4 speed? I friend of a friend races with him, and likes to talk trash....
He pretty much said he's never been out run by a Mopar specifically a Hemi.
A You Tube video produced a Video of his car running 9.40's in that AMX matchbox car.
Seems someone need to bring him down a notch or two...

Herman has always been bad fast. Did lots of R/D on AMC stuff. 'Rumor' has it ,,Indy bought his design/patent/etc for the AMC heads. My cousin was an AMC guy,knew him, liked his work etc. As far as never being outrun by a Mopar....probably never ran any!!

From what I heard rumor has it he builds the fastest AMX's. He has a 401 AMC motor making over 900hp...

Are you talking about Herman Lewis from West Virgina that has a red white and blue AMX? Herman and the car is at the East Coast Drag Times Reunion each year. I have known Herman for over 30 years. He has held something like 20 or 25 National Records and has run that car forever.

Herman Lewis would neither talk trash nor would he need too. That AMX is fast. I think it has a 410 cu in. making over 900 horsepower. He has designed most of the AMX high performance parts you can buy.

If I remember correctly, Herman was going to run a match race, I think in September, at Budds Creek against "Bullet" Bob Reed.
