I wanted the Chrome Torque Thrust "D" wheels on my car but they would not fit the back wheel wells on my 67.. 2 reasons. They are only offered in 3 3/4 backspace, and no 8" wheels, only 8 1/2" wide. I could have gone with 7" all the way around but wanted 8" in the back... Beautiful wheels... I went with the chrome/polished Torque thrust II's..
Purchased mine from summit.. Good pricing, GREAT shipping costs, and over $1000 purchase NO interest for a year......

Looks great! That's exactly the look I'm wanting. Sorry to copy, but please tell me what size/backspace you went with. I'm currently running 235/60/15 all around, and plan to keep these tires...

The biggest help I had on here was Lefty.. He had some great ideas and some insight from his car..
I have 225-60-15 on 15X7 wheels w/ 4" backspace on front.. NO problems at all.. I think 3 3/4 BS on the front would be fine on 7" wheels..
On the back, 245-60-15 on 15X8 w/5 1/4" backspace.. If I was to do it again I would probably go with 5" BS...
You need to remember that 7" wheels are actually 8" overall in width and the 8" are 9" overall.. Not sure but I think your belvedere wheel wells are slightly different in size than my dodge....
Reason is I get a little rub on the inside fender well on the pass side... BUT one thing non original in my car is the rear end.. wrong brakes and wrong ratio NON sure grip 742 third member.. My understanding is that the 68 and newer rears are a little different in length so possibly my rear is a 68 or newer??? I guess I need to measure it. I ended up installing a firm feel rear sway bar and a 1/8" wheel spacer ( yes I hate spacers also) on the passenger rear... Everthing is fine now..
In case you don't know the chrome/polished torque thrust II wheels are pretty expensive.. Over $300 each... But its what I wanted..
Seems as if the standard polished aluminum 15X7 wheels on standard 3 3/4 BS are a pretty good deal, so you might want to spend some time on the summit website looking at all options including BS, as it can change the pricing up also..
Sorry to be so long winded, hope this helps..

Thanks for all your help. I know I'm supporting the chineese by buying theese most likely, but when saving up to 80.00 a wheel, I can't afford to be nation loyal. I have a family to support, and saving that much money helps!

I looked up the summit wheels and they don't look too bad and they are priced right.. If you can get the backspacing to work for you I think I would give em a try... It would be interesting to see how the chrome stands up if they are made in china land.......

That Dart is sweet. Maybe lose the shackles when you get around to it.

Very nice! I love the Bullitt wheels on a mopar. AndyF makes a cool billet centre cap to go on them too...
I was on my way to pick up a set of bullitt wheels and tires for my c-body and the guy sold them right before I got there...If you look around, you can pick them up cheap!!

Personally, in todays world with so many options in wheels and backspacing, if you have to jack up the car or use wheel spacers you have the wrong wheels for your car.. They work, but it is incorrect...
Measure your wheel well areas, inside WW and outside WW, using a plumb bob, this will give you your max width and adjust for backspacing needed.. Really pretty simple.... Pay attention to how the wheel well sometimes curves in as it goes up, and watch your leaf springs.....
