I came across a couple of these in my shed. It looks like they have never had any baffles inside. Could that be right? Anyone know what the correct applications are?
If I'm reading the book correctly, Looks like its a cast # for '72-'73 C-body 400-440

If it has the indentation for the idler arm & is in good shape it's certainly worth hanging onto. The BB A body guys (myself included) are in need of these & baffles can be welded in.

Many already have baffles actually. Even though the 187 and 699's are pretty much identical, I don't think I've ever seen a baffle in a 187, but they're pretty common in 699's. My 73 New Yorker 699 pan has a baffle.

Oops...I threw away a 187 pan a couple of years ago. I think it had a baffle on it. Had the indentation on the pan for the idler. I didnt know where it went. Couldnt remember what i pulled it off of. Worth much?

The 187 pan is just the 65-71 C body pan, useful in BB A body swaps as said above but not worth much no. I'd say the avg price is $40-$80 depending on condition.
