I have no speedo in my duster anymore, just gps.

Since the cable isn't on the trans it is leaking. Does anyone make a delete plate or cover to solve this problem? What do you guys do?

The Carl Munroe book has the size of the freeze plug needed. I can look it up when I get home if need be.

or you can replace the speedo gear seal. that should not leak even with the cable disconnected.

for what is the good life if not doing things thoughtfully?

I put a rubber cup over the threads and then use a hose clamp. I got it at Auto Zone or O'Reily's. The cups are designed to block off the heater core tubes if you don't use the heater.

I'm glad some one posted the size. It appears I left my book in my trailer.

i have some screw on caps with a rubber gasket that fit the speedo housing threads. i don't know what these were for, but they work good for blocking off the speedo housing when you don't want to put a soft plug in. i got a bag of em once with a bunch of other stuff. anyone want one, a couple of stamps ought to get you one. pm me if interested. these things look like the factory cap used on truck transmissions with the divorced transfer case.
