I recognize a lot of the asbestos products there on that list, but in my career (1975 - 2010),I have never known Armaflex to contain any asbestos.
Description
Mold resistant AP/Armaflex Sheet & Roll Insulation is a flexible elastomeric thermal insulation, black in color. It is furnished with a smooth skin on one side which forms the outer exposed insulation surface. The expanded closed-cell structure of Armaflex makes it an efficient insulation. It is manufactured without the use of CFC's, HCFC's, or HFC's. It is also formaldehyde-free, dust free, low VOCs, fiber free and resists mold and mildew. All AP Armaflex products are made with MicrobanŽ antimicrobial product protection for added defense against mold on the insulation.

I make use of this material at work. As a padding when having to work on the ground or on grading. If it gets wet it will hold water. It cuts nice with an old electric knife. Tough stuff.

Does it still contain asbestos?

Mesothelioma - products containing asbestos...

Every shingle on my house is asbestos, guess I'm a dead man walking, lol.

Look out, that there asbestos is hiding in the bushes waiting to jump me, lol.

They say there are no such thing as a stupid question.
They say there is always the exception that proves the rule.
Don't be the exception.

As long as it isn't friable it can be full of asbestos and do no harm. What's the prob? I will prob use it.

You can purchase it at any insulation company or insulation distributor. We use Armstrong 520 glue to nail it down. If you know a pipe insulator they are pretty good at this (30 years). When I get back home I'll be doing the interior floorboards too.

Does it remove vibrations as well? What is 520 glue, is it aerosol or brush on? what thickness did you use on firewall and floor?

Armstrong 520 Glue, brush it on, it's a contact adhesive. Armaflex does not contain asbestos. I use 1/2" on the firewall and 3/4" on the floor. It is water repellent, but if continually exposed to water it will soak it up. It also makes a great mat for under car work.

No I did not do the upholstery. If I could do that, would I be doing this?
